175th Anniversary: Introducing our best bike range ever

A time full of news: bicycles that stand out in terms of design, technology and innovation. A history to be proud of. And a bright future that relies on 175-year experience. These are the reasons why our stand at Eurobike was a huge success.

175 YEARS OF HISTORY
The Orbea stand at the bike show included a bicycle and photo exhibition highlighting the best moments in our history: Samuel Sánchez's gold in the Olympics, Perico Delgado's victory in the Vuelta a España, Catharine Pendrel's latest MTB World Championship title…
Some of these moments were shown in a striking mural expressing our philosophy: we are craftsmen making bikes, we are fighters, we are committed to innovation, we get excited about challenges.
Of course, we had a birthday party, inviting large numbers of visitors to taste delicacies from our homeland, the Pyrenees: Basque cheese, Basque pintxos (gildas), Piérola wine, Keler and La Salve beers, Café de Finca… In our celebration of the passion for cycling, we were joined by Bkool and KILI Basque Country Cycling.

ROAD_ ORCA CUSTOM
With the Custom program, you can design the Orca OMR of your dreams, choosing colors and graphics, and selecting the parts that best suit your riding skills.
You can even have your name on the bike! You can customize your bike for an additional €0. It will be delivered to you within four weeks.
TRIATHLON/TT_ ORDU
Backed by the riders of Team Cofidis, Andrew Starykowicz, Albert Moreno and Åsa Lundström, the new Ordu boasts insuperable aerodynamics – the result of the work done jointly by our engineers and researchers at Mondragon University.
Ridden by Starykowicz, it already achieved a new course record in the bike-leg of Challenge Roth, which Andrew completed in 4 hours, 9 minutes and 13 seconds.
MTB_ OCCAM / RALLON / LOKI
In the mountain biking department, Orbea looks to on a winning trio:
• Occam, considered as our best mountain bike so far at the specialist website mtbr.com.
• Rallon, a much welcomed bike that we continued to improve, adjusting its geometry to the needs of enduro bikers: maximum stability at breakneck speed.
• Loki, a fun, versatile mountain bike for beginners or for more experienced riders looking for a 27+ that can be converted to a 29er.
• At Eurobike we also introduced a new solution fully developed by Orbea: the Digit seatpost, a manually operated telescopic seatpost that makes it faster and easier to get your seat height right when racing.
POWERBIKES_KATU / ÓPTIMA / KERAM
Orbea's greatest news this year was our wide range of e-bike solutions.
• Katu, our e-bike for all, comfortable and with great load capacity.
• Óptima, the e-bike for balance and fine performance, ideal for safe long-distance rides.
• Keram, the e-bike that becomes whatever you want it to be. At home in the mountains and on city streets too. You can even ride it in trails!
BRIGHT FUTURE PROSPECTS
Our 175-year history is a reservoir of valuable experience and knowledge. Our new range relies on this. This is why we can offer global solutions and be optimistic about the future.
We are still moved by the art of making bikes. We hope we can keep making them, sharing our experience on two wheels with our dealers and users.
