No trail is too tough

The Rallon is the Occam’s big brother, and it takes over in impossibly difficult terrain where the shorter-travel Occam heads for the trailhead. Its 150mm of rear wheel travel provide enough suspension to soak up rugged trail obstacles with ease. It’s a product of the same Advanced Dynamics technology as the Occam, so bump absorption is only part of its bag of tricks. It pedals as well as it descends, and this is why it’s such a perfect bike for riders who like to earn their descents by riding to the top.

You'll see that we don't list the bike weight. In reality we want you to go to your local Orbea dealer to feel the bike for yourself. Weight it against a similar bike at the shop. Throw a leg over it, and take it for a spin. Advanced dynamics

Advanced Dynamics enables us to simulate the interactions between the bike and a virtual rider to create suspensions that perform in all conditions.

    Advanced Dynamics models new suspension platforms with a virtual rider that exerts typical rider-induced forces onto the pedals, saddle, and handlebars. We can shape the simulations with different users – height, body weight, riding style – and we can generate all different types of terrain.

    This process allows us to optimize our suspension designs before the prototyping and field-testing phases of development. You’ll get a dynamic suspension system that can be easily tuned for variable trail conditions and with a leverage rate curve that is matched to the spring and damper for maximum performance.

    Tapered Headtube

    The Tapered Headtube is the foundation that provides stiffness and stability for precise handling in rough terrain.

      The forces acting on a headtube can be extreme, especially on bikes with longer travel forks. Our Tapered Headtube provides improved rigidity and steering precision.

      All of our bikes that use the tapered system get a 1-1/8 to 1-1/2” bearing system. We’ve found that this dimension offers the best balance of weight, function, and durability. The Tapered Headtube is also a principle element of our frame designs, whether in carbon or hydroformed aluminum, that provides greater stiffness and stability by allowing larger tube junctures.

If your frame has a manufacturing defect, we will respond quickly to solve your problem. Your warranty is activated at www.orbea.com using the unique, non-transferable registration number you'll find on the down tube of your frame.

            Once the process is complete, your bike will automatically receive its lifetime warranty. We'll have a record of your bike information should it get stolen, and you'll be able to take part in our drawings and events. You'll also have access to the latest news about Orbea, its sponsored teams and riders, and new product development.
