Samuel Sánchez’s Orca Million Name Orbea can be yours!
Click on Million Name Orbea on our Facebook page to win a unique bike
Every bike has its own story, and that of the Million Name Orbea was, and is, really special. The bike was to be used by Samuel Sánchez in the 2012 Olympic Games. However, the racer of Euskaltel Euskadi and winner of a gold medal in Beijing 2008 crashed in the Tour de France last year and could not fight for a second gold medal in London.
Such a special bike, with the names of the 10,000 people on it who chose to support Samu before the Olympics at www.orbea.com, could not just be thrown away. Samuel rode it in the 2013 Tirreno-Adriatico and now, on the occasion of the Giro d’Italia, it can be yours!
To get this collector’s gem just enter Million Name Orbea on our Facebook page and click the ‘Like’ button. Then follow the simple instructions you will find there. All participants will have the chance to get the Million Name Orbea, to be given away on 27 May, the day after the final stage of the Giro.
Fight for pink!
For the Giro d’Italia, Igor González de Galdeano has made up a nine-strong squad led by Samuel Sánchez, who will be escorted by racers who have competed in other grand tours: Egoi Martínez, Jorge Azanza, Pablo Urtasun, Gorka Verdugo, Miguel Mínguez, Ricardo Mestre, Ioannis Tamouridis and Robert Vrečer.
Supported by his eight teammates and with the help of his Orbea Orca, Samu will try to grab victory and be one of the select group of cyclists who have taken at least one stage in the Tour de France, the Giro and the Vuelta a España (82 so far). And he will fight, of course, for a place on the final podium, which would turn him into the 14th rider ever to step onto it in all three grand tours.
Samuel Sánchez on the podium in Brescia and you with the Million Name Orbea! Could this story have a happier ending?
