Andrew Starykowicz and the new Ordu smash record at Challenge Roth!

2015-07-11

The American triathlete and the new bike range released by Orbea beat Andreas Raelert’s 2011 record, stopping the clock for 180km at 4 hours, 9 minutes and 13 seconds.

He did it again! Andrew Starykowicz, Orbea’s record man, has set a new record for the bike segment at Challenge  Roth, completing the 180km course in 4 hours, 9 minutes and 13 seconds. This way, he bested Germany’s Andreas Raelert, who had finished in 4 hours, 11 minutes and 43 seconds in 2011.

Starykowicz’s new achievement was made possible by the new Ordu and its revolutionary design. The perfectly designed and assembled bike is now being ridden by the members of Cofidis, Solutions Crédits at the team time-trial of the Tour de France.

The new machine was developed with researchers at Mondragon University to make the most of riders’ skills. The engineers came up with a bicycle featuring the finest aerodynamics and next-gen riding technology. The result is a bike designed to win.

Orbea’s fifth-generation Ordu is the outcome of hard teamwork by bike craftsmen, triathletes and cyclists. Together, they made an unbeatable time-trial bike, designed to take the most challenging tests. And the machine had the best possible debut between the legs of Starykowicz, in one of the most prestigious triathlon competitions held in Germany.

Well done, Andrew!
