Catharine Pendrel wins the US Cup Pro Series at Fontana City

Katerina Nash could not take a third victory at the US Cup Pro Series, but she is still on top of the general classification after landing second yesterday in California.
Catharine Pendrel beat teammate Katerina Nash to take over Fontana City, the third round of the US Cup Pro Series. The woman from Canada made a decisive move in the final section of the race, defeating Nash and fellow countrywoman Emily Batty (Trek Factory Racing Team).
Pendrel set a superfast pace that shook off her rivals. Nash, who had won the first two rounds, finished second, ahead of Batty. The Czech woman, who tried to overpower her teammate, could only finish 30 seconds behind Pendrel.
Batty was third, ahead of yet another member of Luna Pro Team, Georgia Gould, who tried to snatch the bronze medal from Batty but was dropped by the leaders. Nash retains the US Cup Series lead with 107 points, followed by Pendrel and Batty. The next (and final) race will take place on 28 June in Colorado Springs. It looks like the Cup will go to Luna Pro Team…
