Katerina Nash wins both days at Cincy3 Cross Festival

Katerina Nash won solo style on the first day of the Cincy3 CX Festival in Harbin Park, Ohio. The classic cross foul-weather conditions favored Nash, who hasn’t raced since CrossVegas last September, conditions of which ware decidedly not foul. On Day 2, Katerina won again by 27 seconds, taking up the front spot early on after Katie Compton pulled out from a drivetrain mechanical. With four athletes in the top eight, LUNA stayed strong with Catharine Pendrel finishing third, Maghlie Rochette in sixth, and Georgia Gould just behind in eighth.

Shonny Vanlandingham Takes Trans Tahiti!

Finally, Shonny Vanlandingham won the gruelingly humid and hot Trans Tahiti off road triathlon (xterra style event), on what she called "one of the most physically demanding" courses on which she has ever competed.

"I said it last year, I will say it again... TransTahiti is the most physically demanding off road triathlon! Period!! It's not technically hard but the climbing on the bike is SO steep it's hard to impress upon someone with words. 20% grade plus...for many many kilometers with only short reprieves of downhills. For as extreme as the bike and run legs are, it features equally extreme beauty...stunning actually. This year there was rain which meant even more waterfalls in every direction along the race course. Amazing!!!"
