Luna Pro Team, ready to hit the road in World Cup round 2

Cairns, in Australia, is the venue chosen for the second round of the XCO World Cup, where the squad sponsored by Orbea will try to grab the top spots
Luna Pro Team want to stand on the podium in round 2 of the MTB World Cup, to take place Sunday in Cairns, Australia. Georgia Gould will represent the team sponsored by Orbea in a course the American biker checked out earlier this week.
‘It’s nice to see a course where much time was spent making the uphills interesting. There’re rocks, logs, roots that make them a true technical challenge,’ said Georgia.
Downhill sections have rocky and steep parts specially created for the circuit, which will make a nice show, packed with action.
The biker of Luna Pro Team will try to do better in Cairns than she did at the World Cup opener, where she finished 21st. The heat in South Africa had an impact on Georgia, who suffered from dehydration.Anyway, she was a finisher and this earned her UCI points. ‘I suffered in the heat but happy to finish in one piece on such a challenging and technical course’, she explained after the race in Pietermaritzburg. Australia will be as challenging but you can make it there, Georgia!
World Cup round 2 is on Sunday 27 at 1pm (local time in Australia).
