The Euskadi Cycling Foundation and Orbea MTB Team are born

Quality bicycles

The brands Zeus and Veneto join the Orbea portfolio, supplying MTB, racing, and trekking bikes until 2005. The plant in Mallabia made higher-quality products, while the Portugese factory produced high-volume products. The foundations for a new millenium were set.

The expansion of the Orbea portfolio to include the Zeus and Veneto brand gave the brand increased international recognition and penetration into additional markets
