Fast Trail Kinematics (SL)
Tuning how the suspension behaves under pedalling, what we call the anti-squat, gives great pedalling efficiency and helps make Rise SL an efficient climber.
Progressive Trail Kinematics (LT)
With around 23% progressivity Rise balances finding grip with composure on the bigger hits. It also works well with coil shocks.

Concentric Boost

Concentric Boost is our proprietary suspension design, where there is a pivot point at the rear axel. As well as keeping the suspension active under braking, our system uses less parts, removing weight, adding rigidity and improving reliabiltiy.

How we tune rigidity

Getting stiffness right is essential to how a bike feels on the trail. Too much and the ride becomes harsh; too little and precision is lost. The goal is a frame that feels responsive and controlled, while remaining smooth when the terrain gets rough. Computer modelling and lab testing guide the process, but they’re only the starting point. Real-world testing is what allows us to translate numbers into a ride feel that works on the trail.

Size specific stiffness

The asymmetric frame's design permits us the freedom to tune the rigidity for each size, making sure that as tube lengths and leverages change the feel of Rise stays the same.

Rear triangle & linkage design

Increasing rear triangle stiffness was key. Testing on the trail and in the laboratory both agreed.

Increase stiffness

Finding the sweet spot took many prototypes and tests. We redesigned the shock linkage and the shape of the tubes which make up the rear triangle. The result is a 14% increase in Rear Triangle stiffness.

Steep'n'Deep

Long-travel droppers are the only way! Rise can fit up to a 240mm dropper. Now all riders should be able to fully insert a 200mm dropper and on sizes L and XL that increases to an astonishing 230mm.

By combining full torque with carefully tuned power delivery, Rise stays efficient and composed, yet responds smoothly and powerfully when the trail asks for more. The result is the technical climbing ability of a bigger bike, paired with the agile handling of a lightweight eMTB.

Our RS firmware is a fully custom motor tune that combines high torque with a carefully tuned power delivery, creating a natural ride feel that sets Rise apart. Up to 85 Nm of torque gives strong support at low cadences for smoother, more controlled technical climbs. Rise uses energy efficiently, gaining more range from a smaller battery. The result is a lighter, more agile bike with the autonomy needed for big days and long, demanding rides.

RS Power Delivery

Our firmware accentuates the curve in the power delivery. The result is that the assistance is lower when you are doing less effort, saving range and not dominating the riding experience. As your effort ramps up, the motor responds powerfully and naturally, giving more assistance just as you need it.

When we asked ourselves what a dropper could really do, we saw that existing systems had a world of untapped potential. As well as the best traditional mechanical features we wanted more functionality, more precision, and a better connection between rider and bike.

To make it possible, we looked beyond cycling and turned to optoelectronic technology. Using a Time-of-Flight sensor, the system knows exactly where the post is in its travel at all times. This breakthrough, protected by patent, enables entirely new functionality, what we call Smart Features. The result is one of the most advanced, lightweight, and reliable droppers ever built.

Monet's light but capable Rise SL

Monet rides fast but smooth and has chosen Rise SL to build a light but capable machine. She prefers the MP30LTD wheels and Schwalbe Wicked Will tyres for the lightest package. The FOX Float shock, 34 forks and Transfer dropper post complete her package. Monet chooses Forest Green Carbon View and Titanium for her custom paint job.

Geoff's Rise LT to shred the shore

Geoff likes to ride hard on the North Shore and in Squamish. He has chosen the FOX coil shock, Maxxis's DH casing Assegai tyres, and the alloy OQUO MC32 TEAM wheels. Geoff also chose the 230mm dropper from OC components. His bike has a custom paint job of Mango and Metallic Infinity Green.

Damien's race-ready Rise LT

Damien, a rider who consistently pushes his limits, configured his Rise LT with racing in mind. He opts for the OQUO MC32LTD carbon wheels, known for their lightweight and durability, paired with the reliable Maxxis DH casing tyres. Damien also prefers the FOX coil shock and FOX Transfer Seatpost. His bike is custom-painted in the striking OOLab paint scheme.
