A double victory! Bryan Coquard for Vital Concept Cycling Club and Jon Aberasturi for Euskadi-Murias!

2018-05-11

Bryan Coquard, leader of the Vital Concept Cycling Club, has won the fourth stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, while Jon Aberasturi, of Euskadi-Murias, did the same in the Vuelta a Aragón.

It was a day with a double victory and a leading position in the overall rankings for Vital Concept Cycling Club and Euskadi-Murias. While Bryan Coquard was the fastest in the fourth stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, Jon Aberasturi did the same on the first day of competition in the Vuelta a Aragón.

Bryan Coquard adds a new victory for Vital Concept Cycling Club on a day on which, after 172.5 kilometers, it all came down to the last few meters. Besides the victory, Bryan Coquard recovered the overall leader’s maillot, which he will defend tomorrow in the next-to-the-last stage.

Jon Aberasturi, in turn, contributed the first stage victory of the season for Euskadi-Murias - as well as the top position in the overall classification - in the Vuelta a Aragón, after 180 kilometers of competition between the town of Teruel and Castillo de Calpe, in a race time of 4 hours, 6 minutes and 42 seconds.

"With the help of everyone, we have shown that we are capable of winning,” said Jon Aberasturi after the victory. He also wanted to thank Gari Bravo for the work he did up until the end of the stage. This effort also let him cross the finish line in third place.

Congratulations to both teams!
