GEOMETRY

LONGER AND SLACKER THAN EVER

Rallon also has more standover to work with longer dropper posts. With two suspension positions and two choices of rear wheel size Rallon is also more adaptable than ever before.

 

 

STEEP AND DEEP

With its steep seat tube and deep insertion Rallon has one of the lowest standovers around, meaning lots of space for your choice of long travel dropper posts. Get that saddle right out of the way when things get steep and deep, long travel droppers are the only way.

EVOLVED DESIGN

Totally revised suspension kinematics give a more progressive suspension curve which, combined with 167mm of rear travel is hard to beat; fast and agile in the turns with plenty of control and traction in the rough. Add the beefy Fox 38 fork and Rallon is ready for whatever you have in mind.

 

LOW STANDOVER

Steep and deep means more control and more choice on frame sizing.

HEAD ANGLE

63.5 or 64º is slack enough for the toughest courses without compromising agility.

BB Drop

An extra 3mm drop gives great stability and you will be amazed at how it corners.

REACH

Increased reach really helps to increase stability when descending at speed.

MORE SIZING OPTIONS

Rallon is available in four sizes, S, M, L and XL, however with one of the shortest seat posts around you can pick between sizes to get your preferred reach. Rallon is designed to work with a long travel dropper post, so choose a larger size to maximise stability, or go with a smaller size for a more playful Rallon.

MULLET COMPATIBILITY

Choose 27.5"" or 29"" rear wheels without affecting geometry using the two included shock extenders.

WHY MULLET?

27.5" in the back helps Rallon slap turns and maximises maneuverability in the air. The extra space at the back also comes in really useful on the steepest descents.

 

If you are more interested in smiles than lap times and are more likely to pop than plow then it could be the one for you. 29" maximises speed and stability.If you are racing enduro seriously, more interested in lap times than High 5´s then this could be the one for you.

 

The most serious racers will buy a second rear wheel and use the included shock extender to choose the best Rallon for the day.

LOCKR Frame Storage

Leave your pack at home and just focus on fast! Rallon is packed with clever storage spaces for all the essential tools and water you need for shorter rides or enduro races. Packless runs are fast and fun.

THREE LOCKR ZONES

In the Down tube LOCKR zone we have two sealed bags, with tube, tyre levers and space for two C02 cartridges. Additionally the main pivot and rear axel are filled with cleverly designed tools, held securely with magnets. With a tube, tyre repair, tube, hex keys from 3 to 6mm and a 6mm hex key, all held securely in space, Rallon is fully equipped.

Fully Sealed Bearings

Everyone hates changing bearings. Normally bearings fail due to being dirty, not overloaded, and with Rallon we have worked hard to seal all the bearings. Clean bearings last longer and also keep the suspension working optimally when the conditions are filthy.

ORBEA MONOCOQUE CARBON

We use the most technologically advanced carbon construction available to make the most sophisticated frame possible.

OMR CARBON

Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) frames add high modulus and high strength fibers to a standard layup to improve stiffness-to-weight ratios. Bladder molding with EPS forms and PU headtube and bottom bracket inserts stop wrinkling and unconformities in critical zones, allowing less carbon to be used while maintaining strength.

Precision Tracking

Frame rigidity affects feel and grip and it is possible to have a frame which is too stiff to track the terrain efficiently. Manipulating the carbon weave allows us to control flexibility without sacrificing strength, giving a perfectly balanced front and rear triangle stiffness. A lot of technology, modeling and testing which translates to confidence and grip on rough cambered terrain and valuable fractions in race runs.

ASYMMETRY

The left side support strengthens and stiffens a high-stress area. Instead of using a less-efficient “shock tunnel” the Rallon design offsets the shock 12mm to the right side of the frame, allowing the asymmetrical support to follow a more direct path. This straight line that closely follows the shock mounting is the most efficient way to neutralize suspension forces on the front triangle.

ADVANCED DYNAMICS

DATA COLLECTION

Our large suspension “library” is updated with new designs and data obtained from our suspension partners. This is detailed stuff, not just marketing descriptions of a new damper or spring curve.

DESIGN

Our Advanced Dynamics software is used to optimize geometry, linkage and pivot locations to obtain the suspension characteristics we are looking for, depending on how the bike will be used.

PROTOTYPING

When we start test-riding prototypes, we are working out tiny details instead of crossing our fingers and hoping the bike will largely perform as we hoped. Starting at 90% means we get closer to perfection.

CONCENTRIC BOOST 2

We have updated our successful concentric pivot assembly at the rear axle. The new CB2 has fewer parts and reduces weight.

GRAVITY ORIENTATED KINEMATICS

Rallon loves it when it turns nasty. With 167mm of gravity tuned suspension it specializes in finding grip on the trickiest of tracks, nailing rock gardens without loosing speed and swallowing the biggest hits effortlessly. It does all this but still climbs efficiently between stages and sprints out of slow corners like a rocket.

LIGHTER AND SIMPLER

Saves the weight of complex yokes and additional pivot axles and hardware. Pivot axle is also the hub axle, maintenance is incredibly easy.

STIFFER

Moving the pivot to the rear axle increases system stiffness and precision.

MORE SENSITIVE

Enduro Max Black Oxide bearings give unmatched durability and small bump sensitivity.

IMPROVED BRAKING

Rear pivot location decouples braking forces from the swingarm assembly, reducing braking feedback.

PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION

A high starting leverage rate gives a plush and active feel combined with terrific traction. A progressive curve controls the bike in full-travel situations - the inevitable big hits that come along with pointing a capable bike down a rocky trail.

Racers love the way the bike sprints out of slower speed turns. That is down to the Anti-squat.

FOX FACTORY OPTIONS

We avoided designing Rallon to work with only one type of shock. There are simply too many ideas about what makes for a perfect damper feel, so we offer Fox Factory Shox in air and coil options.

FOX 38 FORKS

Rallon comes equipped with the beefy Fox 38 on all models. The 38 is the perfect fork for Rallon; stiff and controlled in the roughest of terrains.
