Victor Koretzky: "Promising before summer races"
"Following the last XCC I had a good position on the starting line and I did a brilliant start. However I did not want to lose my head. At high altitude I knew I had to manage my effort progressively. I am quite satisfied of my race even if I could not beat the Russian Sintsov for the 8thplace. This my first top 10 this season which is really promising before the several summer races. My weekend was truly positive with an interesting regularity in my performances. "
In Women Under 23, Hélène Clauzel finished 16th (10th place overall): “I did not have the legs but I fought well”. In Elite Women, Annie Last took the 11th place (20th place overall): “I fall in the first lap and I fall in the classification as well. Then I tried my best to catch up the leaders. It is rather encouraging."
In Men Elite, Florian Vogel is 13th(11thplace overall): “I got a flat tire in the first lap. Then I did not have great feelings but a top 10 was feasible”. 17th place for Thomas Litscher and 25th place for Milan Vader.
Victor Koretzky (9th), Florian Vogel (13th) and Thomas Litscher (17th) scored 102 points and took the 2ndplace of the Vallnord stage Team Classification behind Cannondale Factory Racing (112 points). After three World Cup stages, our team is third at the Overall Team Classification with 230 points.
Malene Degn missed Vallnord after she fall while she was training. She will be back in World Cup next week for its 4thstage in Les Gets (France). For the first time she will wear her new Danish national champion red and white jersey.
