Orbea wins for the second consecutive year the 24 hour Innovation in the Engineering School Estia in France
The team "Les innovationneurs" won the top prize at the event aimed at promoting innovation and imagination among students
Orbea proposed two ideas for this celebration of innovation: "Smart Bike", the search for solutions that make the bike an intelligent element combining all the needs of today´s bicycle users and "Orbea energy harvesting from bicycling”, or the search for using the energy produced by the bicycle.
The team "Les innovationneurs" formed by Bastien Nedelec, Bastien Le Guenenec, Emile Thomas, Yann Niviere, Eric Brinette, Dorothee Liziard, Camille Buchou, Guillaume Tastet, Paul Philippart and Clement Roussel were the victors in the design of a bicycle combining a phone, gps, rearview mirror with web cam, use of solar energy ... among other solutions.
The jury gave the award to "Les innovationneurs" for their particular staging in which one member had problems with his bike and another explained the solutions provided by the item created, and for the originality of the proposals. They beat a total of 26 different projects.
This is the fourth edition of "Les 24h de l'Innovation" where the Orbea teams have won twice already. In the third edition , the “Nointiendo " team won the other proposals with the creation of the project" A bike for Mars "which proposed transport solutions for the Red Planet.
