Capping off a string of strong performances, Eva Lechner won the 2018 Italian National Cyclocross Championships in Rome, Italy. The exciting race came down to the last corner, where Lechner powered around rival Alice Arzuffi and out-sprinted her to the line to collect her ninth (seventh consecutive) national 'cross title.

Eva has won over 20 career Italian national titles, which include the disciplines of cyclocross, cross country, and road racing.

After much hard work in 2017 building her form, Eva has earned recent success in the UCI Cyclocross World Cups by taking third in both Zolder and Namur, Belgium races. Lechner currently sits in third in the overall world cup standings.

Katerina Nash and young rising star Maghalie Rochette also hit the recent World Cups in Belgium. Katerina currently sits in fifth place overall in the cyclocross standings with consistent rides and the strength of her big victory in the Iowa City opener (see series results attached -photo-).
